Clayshell

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026. Clayshell does not collect any data.

What we collect

Nothing. Clayshell has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The app does not send any information to its maker or to any third party.

What stays on your device

Deleting the app removes its folder. Keychain items can be removed by deleting each server in the app first.

What the app connects to

Alerts sent from your server

If you choose to install alerts on one of your servers, Clayshell writes a small script and its settings to that server, in your user's home folder. The settings contain the address or token of the channel you chose (Telegram, ntfy or a webhook). The script runs on your server and sends its messages from there, directly to that channel. Clayshell's maker never receives them. You can remove the script from the app at any time.

Face ID, Touch ID and the local network

The optional lock uses the system's own check; the app never sees your face, fingerprint or passcode. On iPhone the system may ask for permission to find devices on your local network, because some of your servers may be on it.

Children

Clayshell is a tool for people who run servers. It does not collect data from anyone, including children.
